And for your viewing enjoyment (spoiler alert, as they say):
Hey, so we were gonna wait until this thing was ready to go in iTunes (it’s currently in approval limbo), but we’re excited to share it with you, so here goes! Presenting the inaugural episode of the Josh Flagg Music Podcast, in which we’ll give you a different song every week, in full, plus a discussion of the song and various other unrelated, often ridiculous matters.
To kick things off we talked about “256” - it’s a good one, you’ll like it. We’ll let you know when this thing’s up and running in the ol’ iTunes Podcast Directory, but for now, you can listen right here on the blog - the Flagg blog (try saying that three times fast: Flaggblog Flaggblog Flaggblog - tough, right?) - or you can download the mp3 at the end of the show description below. Enjoy!
Episode 1: 256 Being the first installment of the Josh Flagg Music Podcast, in which you shall receive a different song every week, in full, accompanied by colorful, spirited discussion of the song in question, as well as various trivial matters. This week: “256”
Pictures of girls kissing, well-whiskey shots, and raucus rock music all highlighted a great show tonight at the Grape Room in Philly, and you can expect that and more at tomorrow night’s Asbury Park show at The Saint, so come on down! In other news, we got a nice write up and interview with Josh on Pop-Break, which you can find through the link. See you at a show soon! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO -Marty
New Living Room Session today. I decided to do a cover of one of my favorite artists of all time, the great Graham Parker. There were tons of songs to choose from, but I went with ‘Nobody Hurts You’ from the killer record ‘Squeezing Out Sparks’. If you don’t own this album go buy it.
Shows are coming up next week in Philly and Asbury Park so see you soon!
Being the latest installment in our Living Room Sessions, we in the Josh Flagg organization proudly present this acoustic version of Better Off Alone, the electric version of which can of course be found on our new full-length record Devastate Me. Like what you hear? Well you can download this acoustic song (and all past & future Living Room Sessions) totally FREE over at our Facebook page. We heartily encourage you to do so.
We also suggest you come see us perform this and other songs in just a few days - March 31 at Bowery Electric in NY, and April 1 at the Grape Room in Philadelphia. For real, you should!
Bring Me Back To Life is the first of our ongoing series of living room sessions and it’s up on Facebook now as a free download along with the streaming version of the album track. Check it out by clicking the photo!
